Application Frame?

I've been trying to catch up on reader mail. A reader happened to be on a friend's Mac and noticed an interesting menu item. It being his friend's computer, and him not wanting to "blow s#%t up," as he put it, he left it alone. But he still was curious.

Application Frame is found towards the bottom of the Window menu in Mac OS.

When selected and stretched out to fill the screen, it simply hides the desktop and provides a more "Windows-like" view.

The Application bar gets included in the window and can't be hidden. You can drag the whole package around the desktop if you like. It's interesting and may help you stay organised when working with multiple programs at once. It's one of those things that there, and you may find it useful, or you may not. But ... you'll never know until you try.
