NVR vs. DVR
There is an interesting discussion on the merits and differences between NVRs and DVRs in this month's edition of CCTV Image magazine. There's also the first shot of Rotakin's replacement, NORMAN.
Check it out. Better yet, become a member of the CCTV User Group.
Just to quickly clarify the situation regarding the Rotakin test target replacement.
The Home Office Scientific Development Branch (HOSDB) have been developing a new approach using standardised facial images for comparative evaluation.
The "NORMAN" target has been developed by Tavcom as a possible replacement, although both offerings are still being subject to industry comment, before being let loose on the market in a finalised package.
If you're interested, there's a bit more information in my IFSEC 2009 Show Review, which was published back in May.
